I guess this update is long over due, and what a perfect day for an update: On Christmas day. And no, I still refuse to get a myspace.
2006 in summary: You have been good to me. Like I have said in my AIM profile; Alot of first time experiences for me. I got to meet some of the most amazing people, in progress of building my relationships with people that care so much about me (won't name any names but you should know who you are ) started a new job that I'm still currently at, got to choreograph my first hip hop dance performance, photography becoming a passion instead of a hobby, able to get some of my first PAYING gigs in photography (Thanks to Mr. Bui)... here is my newly created portfolio... well, still under construction: www.pbase.com/denleywong, went skydiving, got to be a part of a commerical contest (my 2 seconds of fame), and getting more passionate for hip hop, (even though I hit some major slumps and I suck ass some times... ok alot). Thanks to everyone that made it a good year.
So now, it's time for some videos. Sorry, this entry really is all about me. (Only watch if you are mad bored at work or something) I think it's like 15 mins worth of viewing material. So don't say I didn't warn you before hand!

The video that gets the most views on YouTube.com wins. The winner gets the commerical to be broadcasted on television nationally. The most views by November 17th wins.

For everyone that knows me, I'm a big summer person. There are just so many things to do in the summer. Going to the beach, pool, have a picnic in the grass, amusement parks, surfing, rock climbing, running through the sprinkler, roller skating, ice cream eating, chillin in flip flops and shorts, just some of the many things associated with summer. Once winter comes, I do a 360 degree personality switch and I'm like this depressed, lifeless being. I usually like staying in and just laying in my bed over going out. Overall, I think winter just sucks big time. Yes, I go snowboarding, but that's to kill the frickin time. I mean, it gets dark by like 5PM for christ sakes! You wake up in the morning, it's dark as crap outside, drive to work, it starts to get a tiny bit brighter, and then when you get out of work, it's like pitch black again. Yes, winter. I hate you with a passion. Someone wanna help me find a job in California?
*Sigh* Farewell, Summer. Until next year.
Well, fall is upon is, and with that, more rain to cool the temperture. And not to mention, more opportunities to take photos of falling leaves and trick o treaters! Nothing much has been going on with me in the past month, so, I'll just get to the main attraction. The pictures. Still messing around with the camera and functions that I have and it's pretty cool to see how far I've come within a month of just reading and practicing. Must start an online portfolio asap!

And finally, tribute to summer and to great friends. Even though we have either all grown, still in college, graduated college, now in the real world, and went our separate paths, we still have a great time when we get together.
*Note: Just watching these other guys expressions and then looking at hers, it just cracks me the hell up... "Hey! Aren't you supposed to be having a good time like the other guys? You look like you gonna crap out a baby!"
I guess it's that time again... time for my monthly xanga update. Haven't really been doing much, except trying to get better at photography.... and dancing. Hit a big ass slump in motivation levels in relation to dancing, trying to get some motivation back.
Back to the photography thing... I guess to summarize for the month of August... Had my first paid gig recently, (It was a baptism....was totally not ready for it, but I thought "What the hell, the pocket change can just help out by buying more lenses... this is an expensive hobby and I don't plan on going pro, it's just for fun".) and still constantly learning. It's been almost 5 months since I got the Canon 30D (back in May), and I'm still figuring out all the functions....and man, that camera has a ton of potential. Never thought I would be so into it. Seems like I'm still having issues trying to master aperture, shutter speed, and the proper lighting techniques. Especially lighting techniques. So HARD! Anyways, enough of my jibber jabber, here are some pix of what I've done so far. Any postive (or negative) feedback is appreciated.
